Pollen filters for the heating and ventilation system need to be replaced. Some EVs also use coolant to keep the battery in the right operating temperature and this can only be accessed by qualified technicians.

Following your EV's service schedule will ensure it's safe and running correctly. Booking your services with Fitzpatrick's will also maintain your warranty cover keep your EV in peak condition.

Hybrids and plug-in hybrids

Hybrid vehicles (HEVs) use electric motors to supplement the output of a petrol or diesel engine. Some plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs), can also drive over 50 km or more in silent EV mode, making them ideal for short commutes and journeys. Like conventional petrol and diesel cars, hybrids have service schedules to maintain the vehicle's safety and performance. The battery and electric motor are usually maintenance free, but still need to be checked over by qualified technicians.
